The delegation of Fuel Cells & Energy Technology (FECT) attended the 8th European Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Forum in Lucerne Switzerland from 31 June – 4 July 2008. The European Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Forum is one of the most two famous international SOFC conferences of the world which is hold every two years. It is an internationally recognized conference series of highest standing which offers an international fuel cell event consisting of scientific conferences, a product exhibition and a tutorial to promote the novel energy conversion technology on the basis of physics and engineering.

In this conference, Prof. Weiguo Wang who is the director of Division of Fuel Cells & Energy Technology and Dr. Wanbing Guan gave oral presentations of "SOFC Research and Development at NIMTE" and "Aspects in Cell Testing of Anode Supported Planar SOFC", respectively. And two engineers of Division of Fuel Cells & Energy Technology Huamin Li and Yejian Xue attended product exhibition of single cell

On the first day on this conference, Prof. Wang was invited by the organizer to join the welcome dinner. The invited were all world-wild famous experts and only two Asian experts were invited.
